SOUTH JERSEY COUGARS wins tough contest against DELCO DEMONS ORANGE, 5-3

In a game where neither team could get a cushion, SOUTH JERSEY COUGARS escaped with a 5-3 victory over DELCO DEMONS ORANGE.

Neither team gained more than a two-goal lead, and JOE MORROTTO's goal in the second period proved to be the difference maker.

ANDREW AMAND had a great game for SOUTH JERSEY COUGARS, netting two goals. AMAND scored at 4:41 into the first period to make the score 2-0 SOUTH JERSEY COUGARS and again while 14:55 into the second to make the score 5-3 SOUTH JERSEY COUGARS.

SOUTH JERSEY COUGARS additionally got points from MORROTTO, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. SOUTH JERSEY COUGARS also had goals scored by MIKE BLAZER and JIMMY CANFIELD, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for SOUTH JERSEY COUGARS were JOEY PHILLIPS, who had one.

DELCO DEMONS ORANGE was helped by VINCE PANACCIO, who grabbed one goal. PANACCIO scored 13:28 into the first period to make the score 3-2 SOUTH JERSEY COUGARS. CHESTER KOZIKOWSKI picked up the assist. DELCO DEMONS ORANGE also got points from PHIL MILLER, who also registered one goal and one assist. DELCO DEMONS ORANGE also got a goal from JUSTIN LINDEMUTH as well.

RICH GEISER recorded 22 saves for SOUTH JERSEY COUGARS. SOUTH JERSEY COUGARS avoided the penalty box for the entire game and scored zero goals off of zero power plays. CRAIG FULTZ made 25 saves for DELCO DEMONS ORANGE on 30 shots. DELCO DEMONS ORANGE ended with no penalties and went 0-for-0 on the power play.
