Huge game by WALSH boosts PENNSYLVANIA SCORCHERS over NEW JERSEY SCRAPPERS, 9-3

Behind a great game by MICHAEL WALSH, who had two goals and three assists, PENNSYLVANIA SCORCHERS defeated NEW JERSEY SCRAPPERS, 9-3.

WALSH scored at 8:27 into the first period to make the score 3-1 PENNSYLVANIA SCORCHERS and again while 11:26 into the first to make the score 4-1 PENNSYLVANIA SCORCHERS.

PENNSYLVANIA SCORCHERS managed to stay out of the box better than usual, tallying one minor for two minutes in penalty time. PENNSYLVANIA SCORCHERS finished below its season average of 9.0 penalty minutes per game. PENNSYLVANIA SCORCHERS kept NEW JERSEY SCRAPPERS' goalie busy throughout the game, and JOE HATALA made 25 saves on 34 shots. PENNSYLVANIA SCORCHERS surpassed its usual scoring output this season.
