EMPIRE STATE LEGENDS relied on the scoring touch of Sam Sherman, who netted two goals, to beat NEW JERSEY BRAVES, 7-1.

Sherman found the back of the net 30 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 EMPIRE STATE LEGENDS and again while 4:07 into the second to make the score 3-1 EMPIRE STATE LEGENDS.

EMPIRE STATE LEGENDS bested its season scoring average. This season, EMPIRE STATE LEGENDS averages 3.3 goals per contest.

EMPIRE STATE LEGENDS also got points from Pat Rosa, who also had two goals and one assist to lead the team in points and Sean Beatty, who also registered one goal and one assist. Others who scored for EMPIRE STATE LEGENDS included Vincent Vilinoti and Robert Curylo, who scored one goal each. In addition, EMPIRE STATE LEGENDS received assists from Ryan Schlegao, who had one and Dale Johnson and Frank Florio, who contributed two each.

NEW JERSEY BRAVES managed to stay out of the box better than usual, tallying one minor for two minutes in penalty time. NEW JERSEY BRAVES ended up below its season average of 5.0 penalty minutes per game.

NEW JERSEY BRAVES was led by Gary Deischer, who scored the team's only goal. Deischer scored 9:36 into the first period to make the score 2-1 EMPIRE STATE LEGENDS. James Conway picked up the assist.
