Huge game by Scardigno boosts LONG ISLAND 495ERS WHITE over NORTHEAST UPRISING, 8-3

Mike Scardigno had two goals and three assists to lead LONG ISLAND 495ERS WHITE to an 8-3 victory over NORTHEAST UPRISING.

Scardigno scored at 2:28 into the first period to make the score 1-0 LONG ISLAND 495ERS WHITE and again while 6:20 into the second to make the score 6-3 LONG ISLAND 495ERS WHITE.

LONG ISLAND 495ERS WHITE kept NORTHEAST UPRISING's goalie busy throughout the game, and Will Botelho made 25 saves on 33 shots. LONG ISLAND 495ERS WHITE did not rack up many penalties in the contest, finishing with only one minor for two minutes in penalty time.

LONG ISLAND 495ERS WHITE also got points from Mike Lasher, who also tallied one goal and two assists, Pat Lasher, who also racked up one goal and one assist, and Troy Wegenaar, who also registered one goal and one assist. Greg Koko Rakidjian also scored for LONG ISLAND 495ERS WHITE. In addition, LONG ISLAND 495ERS WHITE received assists from John Gunn, who had one and Rob Brian and Sean Corcoran, who contributed two each.

NORTHEAST UPRISING did not challenge the opposing netminder, only getting 11 shots on net to force eight saves. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals.

NORTHEAST UPRISING was helped by Derek Bissonnette, who finished with one goal. Bissonnette scored seven seconds into the second period to make the score 3-2 LONG ISLAND 495ERS WHITE. Kyle Berube picked up the assist. NORTHEAST UPRISING additionally got points from Trevor Butterfield, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. NORTHEAST UPRISING also got a goal from Mike Sobel as well. Other players who recorded assists for NORTHEAST UPRISING were Will Lalor, who had one.

Matt Tatarian recorded eight saves for LONG ISLAND 495ERS WHITE. LONG ISLAND 495ERS WHITE registered zero goals on zero power play opportunities. NORTHEAST UPRISING avoided the penalty box for the entire game and scored zero goals off of one power plays.
