LONG ISLAND 495ERS WHITE hangs on, beats EMPIRE STATE LEGENDS 5-3

Greg Koko Rakidjian gave LONG ISLAND 495ERS WHITE the lead in the first period, and EMPIRE STATE LEGENDS was never able to catch up in a close game that ended 5-3.

Rakidjian provided LONG ISLAND 495ERS WHITE with the game-winning tally when he scored 14:54 into the first period. A hooking penalty on Christopher Culot had put LONG ISLAND 495ERS WHITE on the power play. Mike Scardigno assisted on the tally.

Rakidjian had a great game for LONG ISLAND 495ERS WHITE, netting two goals.

LONG ISLAND 495ERS WHITE managed to stay out of the box for the most part, finishing with one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Even so, LONG ISLAND 495ERS WHITE surpassed its low season average of 1.0 penalty minutes per game.

Pat Rosa picked up the assist. Curylo's next tally made the score 4-3 LONG ISLAND 495ERS WHITE with 7:27 left in the second period. Culot provided the assist. Sam Sherman also scored for EMPIRE STATE LEGENDS.

LONG ISLAND 495ERS WHITE's Rob Perepezko stopped 20 shots out of the 23 that he faced. LONG ISLAND 495ERS WHITE registered one goal on two power play opportunities.
