The M1 Villanova University Wildcats pulled out a 3-2 (OT) overtime victory over the M1 Naval Academy / United States Midshipmen on a clutch goal by Michael Miniconzi.

M1 Villanova University overcame a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Wildcats was down 2-0 after a goal by M1 Naval Academy / United States' Matthew Caine at 14:11 in the first period. M1 Villanova University tied things up at 2-2 on a goal by Nicholas Schultz at 5:19 in the third period.

The Wildcats got the win behind a great game by Miniconzi, who had two goals and one assist. Miniconzi scored the first of his two goals at 5:20 into the second period to make the score 2-1 M1 Naval Academy / United States. John Gyurina assisted on the tally. Miniconzi's next tally made the score 3-2 M1 Villanova University with 19:22 left in overtime.

M1 Villanova University stifled the Midshipmen's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.
