Victory Honda (mm) beats Belle Tire (mm) 3-2 after comeback scare

Belle Tire (mm) tried its best to erase a three-goal deficit, but Victory Honda (mm) would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 3-2.

Victory Honda (mm) took a 3-0 lead during the second period, only to have Belle Tire (mm) storm back on a Nolan Baldrica goal 10:29 into the third period to pull to one goal down.

Victory Honda (mm)'s penalty kill excelled, as Victory Honda (mm) gave up zero goals despite allowing seven power plays.

Victory Honda (mm) stifled Belle Tire (mm)'s power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Victory Honda (mm) was forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as it racked up 34 penalty minutes.

Victory Honda (mm) was helped by Chase Danol, who grabbed one goal. Danol scored 6:08 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Victory Honda (mm). Cade Robinson picked up the assist. Victory Honda (mm) also had goals scored by Brandon Puricelli and Anthony Grimaldi, who each put in one. In addition, Victory Honda (mm) received assists from Liam Walsh, who had two and Brendan Cherwalk, Nick Grimaldi, and Luke Boka, who each chipped in one.

Belle Tire (mm) put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Victory Honda (mm) to score on any of its three power plays. Belle Tire (mm)'s offense rang up 38 shots on Victory Honda (mm)'s net.

Zachary Hart also scored for Belle Tire (mm). More assists for Belle Tire (mm) came via Blake Kryska, Jack Studnicka, Mac Welsher, and Brenden Stanko, who contributed one each.

Kyle Keyser made 36 saves for Victory Honda (mm) on 38 shots. Ryan McInchak rejected 25 shots on goal for Belle Tire (mm). Belle Tire (mm) ended with 21 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major. Belle Tire (mm) ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Justin Freeman was ejected from the game.
