Victory Honda (mm) holds on for 5-3 win against Belle Tire (mm)

Belle Tire (mm) tried to dig itself out of a four-goal hole, but Victory Honda (mm) held on for a 5-3 victory.

Victory Honda (mm) made the score 5-1 on a goal by Chase Danol at 17:54 in the second period, and Belle Tire (mm) got as close as 5-3 when Nolan Baldrica scored 14:30 into the third period.

Victory Honda (mm) got the win behind a great game by Brandon Puricelli, who had two goals and one assist. Puricelli scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 8:30 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Victory Honda (mm). A cross checking penalty on Brenden Stanko had put Victory Honda (mm) on the power play. Hunter Payment assisted on the tally. Puricelli's next tally on the power play made the score 4-1 Victory Honda (mm) with 11:15 left in the second period. Luke Boka picked up the assist.

Victory Honda (mm) put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Belle Tire (mm) to score on any of its eight power plays. Victory Honda (mm) forced Belle Tire (mm) goalie Ryan McInchak to work between the pipes, taking 38 shots. Victory Honda (mm) could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 64 minutes in penalties during the game.

Victory Honda (mm) also got points from Boka, who also had one goal and one assist. More assists for Victory Honda (mm) came via Brendan Prappas, Joshua Wildauer, and Anea Ferrario, who each chipped in one.

Belle Tire (mm) kept Victory Honda (mm)'s goalie busy throughout the game, and Kyle Keyser made 32 saves on 35 shots. Belle Tire (mm) struggled to stay out of the sin bin throughout the game as it finished the game with 60 penalty minutes for nine opposing power plays.

Belle Tire (mm) was helped by Brandon Kruse, who finished with one goal. Kruse scored 6:26 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Victory Honda (mm). Stanko provided the assist. Belle Tire (mm) also got a goal from John Sladic as well. Other players who recorded assists for Belle Tire (mm) were Jake Crespi, who had one and Mac Welsher, who had two.

Belle Tire (mm)'s McInchak stopped 33 shots out of the 38 that he faced.
