Buffalo Jr. Sabres (MM) hangs on, beats Belle Tire (MM) 4-2

DOMINIC PERNA gave Buffalo Jr. Sabres (MM) the lead in the first period, and Belle Tire (MM) was never able to catch up in a close game that ended 4-2.

Buffalo Jr. Sabres (MM) took over the lead for good with a goal by PERNA at 3:34 in the first period. MICHAEL BENAQUIST provided the assist.

Buffalo Jr. Sabres (MM) got the win with help from a great game by BENAQUIST, who had two goals and one assist. BENAQUIST scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 7:54 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Buffalo Jr. Sabres (MM). Buffalo Jr. Sabres (MM) had gotten the advantage when Belle Tire (MM)'s Patrick OConnor was sent off for slashing. Brendan Miller picked up the assist. BENAQUIST's next tally on the power play made the score 4-2 Buffalo Jr. Sabres (MM) with 6:24 left in the third period. Joshua Biasillo provided the assist.

Buffalo Jr. Sabres (MM)'s offense rang up 34 shots on Belle Tire (MM)'s net. Team could not crack Belle Tire (MM)'s penalty kill and was held to two power play goals while having 10 opportunities to play with the man advantage.
