Dallas Stars Elite (MM) survives Thunder AAA Hockey (MM) comeback, wins 5-3

Dallas Stars Elite (MM) came close to giving away a three-goal lead to Thunder AAA Hockey (MM), but did just enough to escape with a 5-3 victory.

Dallas Stars Elite (MM) led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when Dallas Stars Elite (MM)'s Ben Allen scored at 15:04 in the second period to put Dallas Stars Elite (MM) up 4-1.

With three goals and three assists between them, Carson Kelley and Troy York teamed up to power Dallas Stars Elite (MM)'s offense. Kelley racked up two goals and one assist and York also notched one goal and two assists.

Thunder AAA Hockey (MM) was unable to stop Dallas Stars Elite (MM) from sending pucks towards the net, and Dallas Stars Elite (MM) eventually piled up 33 shots on goal. Dallas Stars Elite (MM)'s penalty kill was ineffective, and let in two goals to Thunder AAA Hockey (MM)'s power play unit.

Dallas Stars Elite (MM) additionally got points from York, who also registered one goal and two assists and Cory Delisle, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Dallas Stars Elite (MM) were Cole Percifield, who had one, Jasper Korican-Barlay, who had two, and Reed Tarter, who had three.

Thunder AAA Hockey (MM) stifled Dallas Stars Elite (MM)'s power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Thunder AAA Hockey (MM) was led by MATT JENNINGS, who had two goals. JENNINGS scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 7:47 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Thunder AAA Hockey (MM). Thunder AAA Hockey (MM) had gotten the advantage when Dallas Stars Elite (MM)'s Tarter was sent off for hooking. TYLER TATE provided the assist. JENNINGS' next tally on the power play made the score 4-2 Dallas Stars Elite (MM) with 4:00 left in the second period. An interference penalty on Nick Nietubyc had put Thunder AAA Hockey (MM) on the power play. CORY SEBASTIAN picked up the assist. Thunder AAA Hockey (MM) also got a goal from COLE CRAWFORD as well. More assists for Thunder AAA Hockey (MM) came via ZACH ZALAR, who had one.

Brock Thompson made 22 saves for Dallas Stars Elite (MM) on 25 shots. Dallas Stars Elite (MM) incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. JEREMY WIK rejected 28 shots on goal for Thunder AAA Hockey (MM). Thunder AAA Hockey (MM) incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
