St. Louis AAA Blues (MM) uses shootout to best LA Jr. Kings (MM), 4-3 (3-2 SO)

Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as St. Louis AAA Blues (MM) defeated LA Jr. Kings (MM) in a shootout 4-3 (3-2 SO).

The two teams needed nine turns to complete the shootout. LA Jr. Kings (MM) got shootout goals from Aaron Aragon and Eetu Selanne. St. Louis AAA Blues (MM)'s other shootout goals were scored by Jeff Makowski and Josh Bell.

St. Louis AAA Blues (MM) was sparked by Andrew Schwietz, who racked up one goal. Schwietz scored 10:25 into the first period to make the score 1-0 St. Louis AAA Blues (MM).

In the losing effort, LA Jr. Kings (MM) was paced by Matthew Wiesner, who had one goal and two assists. Wiesner scored 2:24 into the second period to make the score 2-1 St. Louis AAA Blues (MM).

LA Jr. Kings (MM) was unable to stop St. Louis AAA Blues (MM) from sending pucks towards the net, and St. Louis AAA Blues (MM) eventually piled up 37 shots on goal. St. Louis AAA Blues (MM) was held back by its power play unit, which tallied one goal on 10 chances. St. Louis AAA Blues (MM)'s penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as St. Louis AAA Blues (MM) finished with 16 penalty minutes.

St. Louis AAA Blues (MM) additionally got points from Bell, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Trevor Wilhelm also scored for St. Louis AAA Blues (MM). More assists for St. Louis AAA Blues (MM) came via Joseph Matthews, Luke Radetic, and Joshua Dunne, who each chipped in one.
