Urbanic nets hat trick, leads Ohio Blue Jackets (MM) to 6-1 win over Buffalo Jr. Sabres (MM)

Buffalo Jr. Sabres (MM) could not stop Ohio Blue Jackets (MM)'s Joe Urbanic, who tallied a hat trick in a 6-1 win.

Urbanic's first goal came 3:41 into the first period. He then added goals at 5:36 into the second and at 14:11 into the third.

Ohio Blue Jackets (MM)'s Grant Valentine was a brick wall in net, as he came up with 29 saves and let only one puck past him. Valentine certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 1.97 entering the contest.

Ohio Blue Jackets (MM) excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in seven chances. Ohio Blue Jackets (MM) forced Buffalo Jr. Sabres (MM) goalie NICHOLAS VILARDO to work between the pipes, taking 43 shots.

Mitchell Perrault also scored for Ohio Blue Jackets (MM). More assists for Ohio Blue Jackets (MM) came via Kole Sherwood, who had three, Cameron Sangster, Trevor St-Jean, Jack Hale, and Brock Rumbaugh, who contributed one each, and Carson Meyer and Walker Sommer, who each chipped in two.
