Thunder AAA Hockey (MM) and Cleveland Barons (MM) were evenly matched throughout their contest, but Thunder AAA Hockey (MM) made the most of its opportunities and won, 4-3.

Neither team gained more than a two-goal lead, and CODY THOMAS's goal in the third period proved to be the difference maker.

THOMAS had two goals and one assist to lead Thunder AAA Hockey (MM). THOMAS scored the first of his two goals at 1:27 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Thunder AAA Hockey (MM). KYLE GALLOWAY assisted on the tally. THOMAS' next tally made the score 4-3 Thunder AAA Hockey (MM) with 2:19 left in the third period. TYLER TATE picked up the assist.

Thunder AAA Hockey (MM) excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. Thunder AAA Hockey (MM) kept Cleveland Barons (MM)'s goalie busy throughout the game, and Anthony Yamnitsky made 28 saves on 32 shots.

Thunder AAA Hockey (MM) also had goals scored by ZACH SARNOWSKI and MATT JENNINGS, who scored one goal each. More assists for Thunder AAA Hockey (MM) came via CHRISTOPHER MAGEE, who had two.

Cleveland Barons (MM) was helped by Walker Hamilton, who registered one goal. Hamilton scored 9:09 into the third period to make the score 3-3. Corbin Foppe assisted on the tally. Cleveland Barons (MM) additionally got points from Jordan Rose, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Cleveland Barons (MM) also got a goal from Gordie Harwood as well. In addition, Cleveland Barons (MM) received assists from Cole Essig and Bryan Moore, who each chipped in one.

Thunder AAA Hockey (MM)'s JOSEPH CRUZ stopped 20 shots out of the 23 that he faced. Thunder AAA Hockey (MM) incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Cleveland Barons (MM) incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors.
