Parda leads M1 Niagara University to shutout victory over M1 Oswego State University

Mike Parda recorded a shutout against the M1 Oswego State University Lakers as the M1 Niagara University Purple Eagles picked up a 4-0 win.

M1 Niagara University's penalty kill excelled, as the Purple Eagles gave up zero goals despite allowing six power plays.

M1 Niagara University stifled M1 Oswego State University's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Purple Eagles' defensive play was more effective than usual against the Lakers. M1 Niagara University allows 2.4 goals per game. By firing 33 shots on goal, the Purple Eagles exceeded the 0.1 shots they average per game this year.

M1 Niagara University was helped by Dallas Szustak, who tallied one goal. Szustak scored 9:24 into the first period to make the score 1-0 M1 Niagara University. Michael Skopinski picked up the assist. M1 Niagara University also got points from Dalton Bew, who also had one goal and one assist. Others who scored for M1 Niagara University included Patrick gregory and Austin Wharry, who each put in one. In addition, M1 Niagara University received assists from Andrew Mitch, Anthony Russell, Josh Pietrantonio, and Joey Sheena, who contributed one each.

M1 Oswego State University was held below its usual level of production. The Lakers average 3.2 goals per game.

The Purple Eagles' Parda stopped 30 shots out of the 30 that he faced. M1 Niagara University incurred 32 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Dylan Niewiemski rejected 29 shots on goal for M1 Oswego State University. The Lakers incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
