A hat trick by Matthew Reynolds was the highlight in Generals' 8-1 win against the Dundas Real McCoys. Reynolds' first goal came 7:15 into the second period. He then added goals at 9:26 into the second and at 18:44 into the second.The Stoney Creek Generals pulled out the victory even though they were hit with 22 penalty minutes. Stoney Creek forced Dundas' goaltenders to work between the pipes, finishing with 57 shots and forcing 49 saves. Mike Mole made 36 stops and Neil Clelland made 13. The Generals outdid their season average for goals scored. This season, Stoney Creek averages 4.6 goals per contest. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals. Stoney Creek also got points from Dylan Gilbert, who also racked up one goal and two assists, Nathan Pageau, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Jamie Visser, who also tallied one goal and three assists to lead the team in points, and Dennis Maxwell, who also registered one goal and two assists. Tony Iaquinto also scored for Stoney Creek. More assists for Stoney Creek came via Kyle Zettler, Marc Madarasz, and Chris Milek, who each chipped in one and Sean Blanchard and Josh Shrum, who contributed two each. The Real McCoys could not produce up to their normal offensive output. Dundas puts an average of 4.1 pucks into the net per game. The Real McCoys were led by Cam Watson, who scored the team's only goal. Watson scored on the power play 13:02 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Dundas had gained a power play chance when Dominic Crnogorac was whistled for interference. Chris McGuffin picked up the assist. Dan Earles made 20 saves for the Generals on 21 shots. Stoney Creek registered one goal on five power play opportunities. The Real McCoys incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
