Buffalo Jr. Sabres (MM) uses shootout to best Boston Advantage (MM), 5-4 (2-1 SO)

Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as Buffalo Jr. Sabres (MM) defeated Boston Advantage (MM) in a shootout 5-4 (2-1 SO).

The shootout featured 14 attempts between both teams. Boston Advantage (MM) got a shootout goal from Harrison Piper. Buffalo Jr. Sabres (MM)'s other shootout goal was scored by Matthew Damico.

Buffalo Jr. Sabres (MM) saw a two-goal lead disappear, but was able to secure the win in a shootout. Buffalo Jr. Sabres (MM) made the score 4-2 on a goal by JOSEPH SCHULER at 8:23 in the third period. Boston Advantage (MM) evened things up at 4-4 on a goal by Patrick Holway at 15:37 in the third period.

Brendan Miller had two goals and one assist to lead Buffalo Jr. Sabres (MM). Miller scored the first of his two goals at 17:55 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Collin Rutherford assisted on the tally. Miller's next tally made the score 3-2 Buffalo Jr. Sabres (MM) with 16:07 left in the third period. Ryan Wheeler picked up the assist.
