Zuelch's goals lift M3-Oakland University to 9-1 victory over M3-Northwood University

Matthew Zuelch was all over the ice for M3-Oakland University, as he tallied two goals in M3-Oakland University's 9-1 win over M3-Northwood University.

Zuelch scored on the power play at 10:10 into the first period to make the score 2-0 M3-Oakland University and again while 5:33 into the second to make the score 3-1 M3-Oakland University.

M3-Oakland University bested its season scoring average. M3-Oakland University averages 6.1 goals per game. By firing 54 shots on goal, M3-Oakland University exceeded the 0.1 shots it averages per game this year.

M3-Oakland University also got points from Chris Hellebuyck, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Maxwell Dubin, who also had one goal and one assist, and AJ Rosales, who also racked up two goals and two assists to lead the team in points. Others who scored for M3-Oakland University included Eric Woolf, Jacob Harlick, and Jonathan Graham, who each put in one. In addition, M3-Oakland University received assists from Kyle Gagnon, Dalton Genat, Robert Lauro, Brian Feldpausch, Brandon Goodes, and Nick Manzo, who contributed one each and Brendan Higgins, Alex Zakucia, and Brennen Orr, who each chipped in two.

M3-Northwood University was led by James Freid, who scored the team's only goal. Freid scored 3:27 into the second period to make the score 2-1 M3-Oakland University. Sean Mcdonnell assisted on the tally.

M3-Oakland University's starting goalie, Kyle Gagnon, made eight saves and finished with the win before he was taken out in favor of Austin Mcardle, who stopped 11 shots. M3-Oakland University avoided the penalty box for the entire game and scored two goals off of zero power plays. Alexander Zale rejected 45 shots on goal for M3-Northwood University. M3-Northwood University ended with no penalties and went 0-for-0 on the power play.
