Huge game by Helanto boosts M1 Iowa State University over M1 Midland University, 5-1

The M1 Iowa State University Cyclones were firing on all cylinders against M1 Midland University, and when the final buzzer sounded Cyclones emerged with a 5-1 win.

M1 Iowa State University got the win behind a great game by Antti Helanto, who had one goal and two assists. Helanto scored on the power play 15:07 into the first period to make the score 2-0 M1 Iowa State University. The Cyclones had gained a power play chance when Alex Cooper was whistled for tripping. Trevor Lloyd provided the assist.

M1 Iowa State University's offense was clicking better than usual and put 65 shots on goal during the game, better than the 0.7 shots per game it averages.

M1 Iowa State University additionally got points from Chase Rey, who also registered one goal and one assist. JP Kascsak also scored for M1 Iowa State University. Other players who recorded assists for M1 Iowa State University were Seth Serhienko, Matthew Szpak, and Nate Percy, who each chipped in one.

Matt Goedeke recorded 60 saves for M1 Midland University. M1 Midland University incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
