M1 Iowa State University's Rey deadly on offense in 6-1 win against M1 Illinois / University of

Chase Rey was all over the ice for the M1 Iowa State University Cyclones, as he tallied two goals in M1 Iowa State University's 6-1 win over the M1 Illinois / University of Fighting Illini.

Rey scored on the power play at 11:15 into the first period to make the score 2-1 M1 Iowa State University and again while on the power play 13:05 into the first to make the score 3-1 M1 Iowa State University.

M1 Illinois / University of was stymied by the Cyclones' netminder Scott Ismond, who stopped 36 shots during the victory. The solid play of Ismond will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 1.1.
