In a game where neither team could get a cushion, the M1 Ohio University Bobcats escaped with a 4-2 victory over the M1 Iowa State University Cyclones.

Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Michael Palasics secured the win for M1 Ohio University with a goal in the second period.

The Bobcats were led by Paul Sergi, who finished with one goal. Sergi scored on the power play 9:49 into the third period to make the score 3-1 M1 Ohio University. M1 Ohio University earned a power play opportunity when Trevor Lloyd was put in the box for interference. Liam Geither provided the assist.
