M3-Colorado-Colorado Springs Univer tried its best to erase a three-goal deficit, but M3-Colorado School of Mines would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 5-3.

A goal by Ben Hoogenboom put M3-Colorado School of Mines up 5-2 in the third period, but M3-Colorado-Colorado Springs Univer pulled to within two on Matthew Lee's tally 16:51 into the third period.

M3-Colorado School of Mines forced M3-Colorado-Colorado Springs Univer goalie Brandon Velasquez to work between the pipes, taking 50 shots.
