Downingtown East JV squeaks by Conestoga JV, 4-2

The game between Downingtown East JV and Conestoga JV was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end Downingtown East JV emerged with a 4-2 win.

No lead was more than two goals during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Max De Carville at 10:07 of the third period.

Downingtown East JV pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 44 penalty minutes.

Downingtown East JV was led by De Carville, who had one goal.

Downingtown East JV forced Conestoga JV goalie Luke Robbins to work between the pipes, taking 35 shots. The defensemen of Downingtown East JV were also effective in Conestoga JV's zone, and came away with two goals.

Downingtown East JV also got points from Kostas Kourahanis, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Conner Kloss, who also grabbed one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Downingtown East JV also got a goal from Alex Fox as well. In addition, Downingtown East JV received assists from Parker Berry, who had two and Dustin Fisher and Matt Valitski, who each chipped in one.

Conestoga JV could not produce up to its normal offensive output. Conestoga JV averages 4.1 goals per game.

Conestoga JV was helped by John Paul Kalilec, who registered one goal. Kalilec scored 11:11 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Downingtown East JV. Gabriel Fairorth also scored for Conestoga JV. More assists for Conestoga JV came via Stuart Davis and Alex Lee, who contributed one each.

Zachary Allridge made 26 saves for Downingtown East JV on 28 shots. Downingtown East JV registered one goal on three power play opportunities. Robbins rejected 31 shots on goal for Conestoga JV. Conestoga JV incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
