The M1 Western Michigan University Stallions tried to dig themselves out of a two-goal hole, but the M1 Rochester College Warriors held on for a 4-3 victory.

M1 Rochester College made the score 4-2 on a goal by Doug Lindensmith at 2:30 in the third period, and M1 Western Michigan University got as close as 4-3 when Zach Mudge scored 17:02 into the third period.

The Warriors were led by Lindensmith, who grabbed one goal.

By firing 31 shots on goal, M1 Rochester College exceeded the 2.0 shots it averages per game this year.

M1 Rochester College additionally got points from Joey Giordano, who also registered one goal and one assist and Garrett Gostek, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. M1 Rochester College also got a goal from Christopher Williford as well. In addition, M1 Rochester College received assists from Josh Foster and Kyle Truscott, who contributed one each.

The Stallions forced the Warriors goalie Brenden Kruckenberg to work between the pipes, taking 38 shots.

M1 Western Michigan University was helped by Samuel Rumbles, who tallied one goal. Rumbles scored 7:03 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Mitch Rogowski assisted on the tally. Colin Tittle also scored for M1 Western Michigan University. Other players who recorded assists for M1 Western Michigan University were Nicholas Elliott, Jesse Cameron, Jared Vincek, and Jacob Taiariol, who each chipped in one.

Kruckenberg recorded 35 saves for M1 Rochester College. The Warriors ended with no penalties and went 0-for-0 on the power play. The Stallions' Anthony Benvenuti stopped 27 shots out of the 31 that he faced. M1 Western Michigan University avoided the penalty box for the entire game and scored zero goals off of zero power plays.
