M1 Western Michigan University falls to M1 Kent State University in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

The M1 Kent State University Golden Flashes' Troy Bubanic scored 2:13 into overtime to beat the M1 Western Michigan University Stallions, 4-3 (OT).

M1 Kent State University overcame a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Golden Flashes fell behind 3-1 after a goal by M1 Western Michigan University's Jared Vincek at 5:04 in the second period. M1 Kent State University tied things up at 3-3 on a goal by Jared Fielden at 10:23 in the third period.

The Golden Flashes were led by Bubanic, who racked up one goal.

M1 Kent State University forced the Stallions goalie Anthony Benvenuti to work between the pipes, taking 39 shots.

M1 Kent State University also got points from TJ West, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. M1 Kent State University also got a goal from Caleb Gannelli as well. Other players who recorded assists for M1 Kent State University were Alex Compean, Trevor Palocsik, Chance Taylor, and Andrew Radosevic, who contributed one each.

With 43 shots on target during the contest, M1 Western Michigan University exceeded the 1.8 shot it averages per game this year.
