M3-George Mason University holds on for 4-3 win against M2 George Washington University

The M2 George Washington University Colonials tried to dig themselves out of a four-goal hole, but M3-George Mason University held on for a 4-3 victory.

M3-George Mason University took a 4-0 lead during the second period, only to have M2 George Washington University storm back on a Max Terhar goal 5:35 into the third period to pull to one goal down.

Dylan Talbot was all over the ice for M3-George Mason University, as he had two goals in the win. Talbot found the back of the net 9:25 into the first period to make the score 1-0 M3-George Mason University and again while 1:40 into the second to make the score 2-0 M3-George Mason University.

M3-George Mason University stifled the Colonials' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

M3-George Mason University additionally got points from Seve Cordova, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Joseph Pouliot also scored for M3-George Mason University. Other players who recorded assists for M3-George Mason University were Nicholaus Baker, who had two and Ryan Pageau, Tyler Lovejoy, Antonio Cordova, and David Guinee, who each chipped in one.

M2 George Washington University's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five M3-George Mason University power plays. The Colonials were held below their usual level of production. M2 George Washington University puts an average of 6.6 pucks into the net per game.
