The M2 Georgetown University Hoyas were firing on all cylinders against M2 Virginia University of, and when the final buzzer sounded Hoyas emerged with a 4-1 win.

M2 Virginia University of was stymied by M2 Georgetown University's netminder Josh Heckman, who stopped 30 shots during the victory. Heckman managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 2.0 prior to the game.

The Hoyas were sparked by Daniel Litke, who grabbed one goal. Litke scored 10:21 into the second period to make the score 2-0 M2 Georgetown University. John Kelly provided the assist.

With 52 shots on target during the contest, M2 Georgetown University exceeded the 3.0 shots it averages per game this year.

M2 Georgetown University also got a goal from Chad Heal as well. In addition, M2 Georgetown University received assists from Harry Clifford and Dan Walsh, who each chipped in one.

M2 Virginia University of put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Hoyas to score on any of their three power plays.
