M3-Iowa State University pulls away in second, rolls over M3-Dordt College, 6-0

M3-Dordt College allowed M3-Iowa State University to net three goals during the second period and fell, 6-0.

Robbie Cordes frustrated M3-Dordt College's offense all game, and stopped 26 shots en route to a shutout. Cordes certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 2.66 entering the contest.

Evan Weiand had a great game for M3-Iowa State University, netting two goals. Weiand scored at 14:28 into the first period to make the score 1-0 M3-Iowa State University and again while 18:44 into the second to make the score 4-0 M3-Iowa State University.

M3-Iowa State University put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow M3-Dordt College to score on any of its four power plays. M3-Iowa State University's defensive effort looked to be improved. M3-Iowa State University allows 3.0 goals per game. M3-Iowa State University kept M3-Dordt College's goalie busy throughout the game, and Ross Van Gaalen made 52 saves on 58 shots.
