New Jersey Rockets (MM) falls to Chicago Fury (MM) in overtime, 2-1 (OT)

Chicago Fury (MM) pulled out a 2-1 (OT) overtime victory over New Jersey Rockets (MM) on a clutch goal by Sam Markwood.

Chicago Fury (MM) was led by goalie PETER THOME, who finished with 29 saves while allowing one goal. THOME certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 2.44 entering the contest.

Chicago Fury (MM)'s penalty kill excelled, as Chicago Fury (MM) gave up zero goals despite allowing six power plays.

Chicago Fury (MM) stifled New Jersey Rockets (MM)'s power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. New Jersey Rockets (MM) was unable to stop Chicago Fury (MM) from sending pucks towards the net, and Chicago Fury (MM) eventually piled up 35 shots on goal.

Chicago Fury (MM) also got a goal from Ian Sweeney as well. More assists for Chicago Fury (MM) came via Danny Zielecki, who had one.

New Jersey Rockets (MM) excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in 10 chances.

New Jersey Rockets (MM) was led by Andrew Bobynshyj, who scored the team's only goal. Bobynshyj scored 4:46 into the second period to make the score 1-0 New Jersey Rockets (MM). Thomas Terranova provided the assist.

Chicago Fury (MM) incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Thomas McCarthy made 33 saves for New Jersey Rockets (MM) on 35 shots. New Jersey Rockets (MM) incurred 48 minutes in penalty time with four minors. New Jersey Rockets (MM) ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Jake Tengi was ejected from the game.
