Pittsburgh Penguins Elite (mm) vanquishes Thunder AAA Hockey (mm) in shootout, 3-2 (2-1 SO)

Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as Pittsburgh Penguins Elite (mm) defeated Thunder AAA Hockey (mm) in a shootout 3-2 (2-1 SO).

The shootout featured five attempts between both teams. Thunder AAA Hockey (mm) got a shootout goal from William Schlagenhauf. In addition to the clincher, Pittsburgh Penguins Elite (mm) got a shootout goal from Eric Cooley.

Pittsburgh Penguins Elite (mm) overcame a one-goal deficit to capture the victory. Pittsburgh Penguins Elite (mm) was down 2-1 after a goal by Thunder AAA Hockey (mm)'s Hauken Washington at 14:08 in the third period. Pittsburgh Penguins Elite (mm) tied things up at 2-2 on a goal by Billy Harris at 15:27 in the third period.

Pittsburgh Penguins Elite (mm) was helped by Brendan Walkom, who grabbed one goal. Walkom scored 9:58 into the third period to make the score 1-1. Stephen Rex picked up the assist. Other players who recorded assists for Pittsburgh Penguins Elite (mm) were Jordan Timmons, who had one.
