Buffalo Jr. Sabres (mm) vanquishes Chicago Fury (mm) in shootout, 5-4 (2-1 SO)

Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as Buffalo Jr. Sabres (mm) defeated Chicago Fury (mm) in a shootout 5-4 (2-1 SO).

The two teams needed eight turns to complete the shootout. Chicago Fury (mm) got a shootout goal from COLIN SWOYER. In addition to the clincher, Buffalo Jr. Sabres (mm) got a shootout goal from GRIFFIN LOUGHRAN.

Buffalo Jr. Sabres (mm) overcame a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. Buffalo Jr. Sabres (mm) fell behind 2-0 after a goal by Chicago Fury (mm)'s Nicholas Messina at 8:19 in the first period. Buffalo Jr. Sabres (mm) tied things up at 4-4 on a goal by MATTHEW JAKUBOWSKI at 11:28 in the third period.

JAKUBOWSKI was all over the ice for Buffalo Jr. Sabres (mm), as he tallied two goals and two assists in the win. JAKUBOWSKI scored the first of his two goals at 16:18 into the second period to make the score 3-3. JOE MARSZALEK provided the assist. JAKUBOWSKI's next tally made the score 4-4 with 8:32 left in the third period. Nicholas Alfieri picked up the assist.
