M3-Liberty University survives M3-James Madison University comeback, wins 4-2

M3-Liberty University, which led by three goals at one point, survived a comeback attempt by M3-James Madison University and clinched a 4-2 victory.

M3-Liberty University led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when M3-Liberty University's Brandon Cockburn scored at 8:43 in the second period to put M3-Liberty University up 3-0.

M3-Liberty University got the win with help from a great game by Cockburn, who had two goals and one assist. Cockburn scored the first of his two goals at 3:47 into the second period to make the score 2-0 M3-Liberty University. Cockburn's next tally made the score 3-0 M3-Liberty University with 11:17 left in the second period. Kyle Burman picked up the assist.

M3-Liberty University also had goals scored by Chad Docksteader and James Brady, who each put in one.

M3-James Madison University did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. M3-James Madison University averages 4.4 goals per game.

M3-James Madison University was helped by Robert Gardner Souza, who grabbed one goal. Gardner Souza scored 18:06 into the second period to make the score 3-2 M3-Liberty University. Tyler Shaw provided the assist. Brian Groener also scored for M3-James Madison University. In addition, M3-James Madison University received assists from Mason Hauser, who had one.

M3-Liberty University finished the contest with no penalties and went 0-for-0 with the man advantage. M3-James Madison University avoided the penalty box for the entire game and scored zero goals off of zero power plays.
