Belle Tire (MM) rolls over Oakland Jr. Grizzlies (MM), 4-1

Belle Tire (MM) had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 4-1 win over Oakland Jr. Grizzlies (MM).

Michael Hodgson was all over the ice for Belle Tire (MM), as he tallied one goal and three assists in the win. Hodgson scored on the power play 7:09 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Belle Tire (MM). Belle Tire (MM) had taken the advantage when Oakland Jr. Grizzlies (MM)'s Mitch Margitan got sent off for elbowing. Mitchell Galea assisted on the tally.

Belle Tire (MM)'s Roman Malkov was a brick wall in net, as he came up with 29 saves and let only one puck past him. Malkov managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 2.34 prior to the game.

Belle Tire (MM) forced Oakland Jr. Grizzlies (MM)'s goaltenders to work hard to keep the puck out of the net, launching 37 shots and forcing 33 saves. Jack Leavy made 10 stops and Nikita Babintsev made 23. Belle Tire (MM) was ineffective while on the power play, as it was held to two goals off of 13 man advantages.

Belle Tire (MM) also got points from Marshall Moise, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Galea, who also registered one goal and one assist. Belle Tire (MM) also got a goal from Dylan Schmidt as well. More assists for Belle Tire (MM) came via Austin Linville, Fedor Gusynin, and Hunter Wendt, who contributed one each.

Oakland Jr. Grizzlies (MM) could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 36 minutes in penalties during the game.

Oakland Jr. Grizzlies (MM) was led by Brock James, who scored the team's only goal. James scored 23 seconds into the second period to make the score 2-1 Belle Tire (MM).
