Kelley's big game bests Colorado Thunderbirds (MM) in 6-3 Dallas Stars Elite (MM) win

Behind a great game by Carson Kelley, who had one goal and two assists, Dallas Stars Elite (MM) defeated Colorado Thunderbirds (MM), 6-3.

Kelley scored on the power play 14:29 into the first period to make the score 4-1 Dallas Stars Elite (MM). Colorado Thunderbirds (MM) had gained a power play chance when James Di Stefano was whistled for boarding.

In the losing effort, Colorado Thunderbirds (MM) was sparked by Alex Bates, who had two goals. Bates scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 1:55 into the second period to make the score 4-2 Dallas Stars Elite (MM). Bates' next tally on the power play made the score 4-3 Dallas Stars Elite (MM) with 7:04 left in the second period. John Greer assisted on the tally.

Dallas Stars Elite (MM) also got points from Connor Smith, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Reily McIntosh, who also registered one goal and one assist, and Ben Allen, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Dallas Stars Elite (MM) included Isaac Cirinna and Reed Tarter, who each put in one. More assists for Dallas Stars Elite (MM) came via Troy York, who had two and Brandon Estes, Cole Percifield, and David Almond, who contributed one each.

Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with three goals.

Blake Terry also scored for Colorado Thunderbirds (MM). Other players who recorded assists for Colorado Thunderbirds (MM) were Sam Rankin, Brendon Carlstrom, and Jake LeBauer, who each chipped in one.

Anthony DAloisio recorded 21 saves for Dallas Stars Elite (MM). Dallas Stars Elite (MM) totaled 19 minutes in penalty time with two minors and one major and went 2-for-4 on the power play. Tom Barendregt took the loss and made two saves before being replaced by Ben Roberts who made 19 saves. Colorado Thunderbirds (MM) incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors.
