Colorado Thunderbirds (mm)'s penalty kill was superb, as Colorado Thunderbirds (mm) survived multiple penalties to beat Phoenix Jr. Coyotes (mm), 4-0.

Colorado Thunderbirds (mm) was led by Brian Hawkinson, who registered one goal. Hawkinson scored on the power play 2:25 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Colorado Thunderbirds (mm). Colorado Thunderbirds (mm) had taken the advantage when Phoenix Jr. Coyotes (mm)'s Mark Kastelic got sent off for interference. Colby Bukes picked up the assist.

Colorado Thunderbirds (mm) stifled Phoenix Jr. Coyotes (mm)'s power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.
