The M1 Davenport University Panthers survived a determined comeback attempt by the M1 Ohio University Bobcats on the way to a 3-2 win.

M1 Davenport University made the score 3-0 on a goal by Cody Mathieu at 16:04 in the third period, and M1 Ohio University got as close as 3-2 when Tom Whetsel scored 18:24 into the third period.

The Bobcats' power play was ineffective against the Panthers' penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded.

By firing 21 shots on goal, M1 Davenport University exceeded the 2.7 shots it averages per game this year. The Panthers were forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as they racked up 30 penalty minutes.
