M1 Davenport University wins tough contest against M1 Rochester College, 3-2Patterson IC 1 Sat, Nov 08, 2014 The M1 Davenport University Panthers and the M1 Rochester College Warriors were evenly matched throughout their contest, but M1 Davenport University made the most of its opportunities and won, 3-2. Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Travis White secured the win for the Panthers with a goal in the third period. Mason Bohlinger had a great game for M1 Davenport University, netting two goals. Bohlinger found the back of the net 11:13 into the first period to make the score 1-0 M1 Davenport University and again while on the power play 2:10 into the third to make the score 2-2. The Panthers stifled M1 Rochester College's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. With 48 shots on target during the contest, M1 Davenport University exceeded the 4.7 shots it averages per game this year. In addition, M1 Davenport University received assists from Winston Hofer, who had two and Cody Walsh, Chris Eckler, Kody Polin, and Aaron Beally, who contributed one each. The Warriors were helped by Matt Kadolph, who finished with one goal. Kadolph scored 18:10 into the second period to make the score 2-1 M1 Rochester College. Brock Malatches assisted on the tally. M1 Rochester College also got a goal from Jake Zarzycki as well. Other players who recorded assists for M1 Rochester College were Brian Fonseca, Spencer Ashby, and George Holt, who each chipped in one. Clayton Brown recorded 17 saves for the Panthers. M1 Davenport University incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. M1 Rochester College's Zakk Olvin stopped 45 shots out of the 48 that he faced. The Warriors incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
