Goeree nets hat trick, leads Chicago Fury (MM) to 8-1 win over Thunder AAA Hockey (MM)

Matt Goeree lifted Chicago Fury (MM) to an 8-1 victory with a hat trick against Thunder AAA Hockey (MM).

Goeree notched his first tally 17:11 into the first period. He then added goals at 13:52 into the second and at 14:15 into the third.

Chicago Fury (MM) stifled Thunder AAA Hockey (MM)'s power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Thunder AAA Hockey (MM) was unable to stop Chicago Fury (MM) from sending pucks towards the net, and Chicago Fury (MM) eventually piled up 38 shots on goal. Chicago Fury (MM)'s goal total was higher than its season average. Chicago Fury (MM) averages 4.8 goals per game. The defensemen of Chicago Fury (MM) were also effective in Thunder AAA Hockey (MM)'s zone, and came away with two goals.

Chicago Fury (MM) also got points from Scott Swanson, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Charlie Olson, who also tallied one goal and two assists. Chicago Fury (MM) also had goals scored by Mike Lyons, Hayden Smith, and Ian Sweeney, who scored one goal each.
