The Panthers trailed 3-1 after a goal by M1 Indiana Univ of Pennsylvania's Alex Pullekines at 6:28 in the second period. M1 Pittsburgh University of knotted things up at 3-3 on a goal by Travis Cully at 12:11 in the second period. The Panthers scored the game winner on the power play at 17:21 in the third period on a goal by Cully.

M1 Pittsburgh University of was led by Nick Blaney, who tallied one goal.
