M1 West Virginia University gained the winning advantage on a goal by Trey Bracy 9:05 into the third period and hung on until final buzzer. Tyler Conaway had a great game for the Mountaineers, netting two goals. Conaway found the back of the net on the power play 18:29 into the second period to make the score 3-3 and again while on the power play 6:25 into the third to make the score 4-3 M1 West Virginia University. M1 Pittsburgh University of's Ben Cirba could not handle what M1 West Virginia University threw at him, as the Mountaineers netted their goals off of five. M1 West Virginia University got most of its shots through Conaway, Bracy and Vincent Fornes, who totaled four pucks on net between them.
