Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as the M1 Robert Morris Univ Pennsylvania Colonials defeated the M1 Pittsburgh University of Panthers in a shootout 5-4 (2-0 SO).

The shootout featured five attempts between both teams. M1 Robert Morris Univ Pennsylvania also got a shootout goal from Joe Boyer.

The Colonials saw a two-goal lead disappear, but was able to secure the win in a shootout. M1 Robert Morris Univ Pennsylvania made the score 4-2 on a goal by Alex Dagnal at 8:14 in the second period. M1 Pittsburgh University of evened things up at 4-4 on a goal by Connor Cash at 14:58 in the third period.

By firing 30 shots on goal, the Colonials exceeded the 0.3 shots they average per game this year.
