Wrbelis' hat trick boosts M3-Aquinas College over M3-Michigan University of, 8-0

Jason Wrbelis netted a hat trick to lead M3-Aquinas College over M3-Michigan University of, 8-0.

Wrbelis' first goal came 13:10 into the first period. He then added goals at 9:37 into the second and at 10:25 into the third.

M3-Aquinas College led 4-0 after the opening frame the first period and maintained a healthy margin after.

Sean Schmeiser spearheaded the defensive effort for M3-Aquinas College, as he did not allow a puck past him and made 30 saves for the shutout. Schmeiser certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 2.89 entering the contest.

M3-Aquinas College put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow M3-Michigan University of to score on any of its three power plays.
