M1 Iowa State University holds on for 2-1 win against M1 Oklahoma / University of

The M1 Iowa State University Cyclones survived a determined comeback attempt by the M1 Oklahoma / University of Sooners on the way to a 2-1 win.

M1 Iowa State University made the score 2-0 on a goal by Trevor Lloyd at 8:10 in the third period, and M1 Oklahoma / University of got as close as 2-1 when Mico Solorzano scored 11:03 into the third period.

The Sooners were stymied by the Cyclones' netminder Matt Cooper, who stopped 37 shots during the victory. Cooper certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 2.05 entering the contest.
