M3-South Florida University of and M3-Florida State University were evenly matched throughout their contest, but M3-South Florida University of made the most of its opportunities and won, 7-5.

Neither team gained more than a two-goal lead, and Matthew Meyer's goal in the second period proved to be the difference maker.
