M3-Georgia University of tried to dig itself out of a four-goal hole, but M3-Georgia Institute of Technology held on for a 5-4 victory.

A goal by Mitchell Carr put M3-Georgia Institute of Technology up 5-1 in the second period, but M3-Georgia University of pulled to within one on Stephen Bray's tally 17:52 into the third period.

M3-Georgia Institute of Technology got the win thanks to a great game by Jay McKinney, who had two goals and one assist.
