Huge game by Rinck boosts M3-Shippensburg University over M3-Salisbury University, 6-3

Austin Rinck had two goals and two assists to lead M3-Shippensburg University to a 6-3 victory over M3-Salisbury University.

Rinck scored at 4:10 into the second period to make the score 4-3 M3-Shippensburg University and again while 7:53 into the second to make the score 5-3 M3-Shippensburg University.

M3-Shippensburg University forced M3-Salisbury University goalie Robert Preller to work between the pipes, taking 44 shots.

M3-Shippensburg University also got points from Kyle Bushong, who also finished with two goals and two assists. M3-Shippensburg University also got a goal from Brendan Lutz as well. In addition, M3-Shippensburg University received assists from Tanner Fitting and Gertz, who each chipped in one and Daniel Holmes and Cain Linwood, who contributed two each.

M3-Salisbury University kept M3-Shippensburg University's goalie busy throughout the game, and Tanner Stouffer made 28 saves on 31 shots. The defensemen of M3-Salisbury University were also effective in M3-Shippensburg University's zone, and came away with two goals.

M3-Salisbury University was led by Bradley Howington, who grabbed two goals. Howington scored the first of his two goals at 1:43 into the first period to make the score 1-0 M3-Salisbury University. Collin Woodyard assisted on the tally. Howington's next tally made the score 3-2 M3-Shippensburg University with 19:08 left in the second period. Chris Richardson picked up the assist. Evan Brennan also scored for M3-Salisbury University. Other players who recorded assists for M3-Salisbury University were Fred Ondris and Eliot Tarash, who each chipped in one.

M3-Shippensburg University ended with no penalties and went 0-for-0 on the power play. Robert Preller made 38 saves for M3-Salisbury University on 44 shots. M3-Salisbury University avoided the penalty box for the entire game and scored zero goals off of zero power plays.
