M2 Temple University survives M2 Rider University comeback, wins 5-4

M2 Temple University survived a determined comeback attempt by M2 Rider University on the way to a 5-4 win.

M2 Temple University made the score 4-2 on a goal by Patrick Hanrahan at 9:35 in the second period, and M2 Rider University got as close as 4-3 when Maxwell Daley scored 11:27 into the third period.

Stephen Kennedy had two goals and one assist to lead M2 Temple University. Kennedy scored the first of his two goals at 7:17 into the second period to make the score 3-2 M2 Temple University. Jason Lombardi picked up the assist. Kennedy's next tally made the score 5-4 M2 Temple University with 3:15 left in the third period. Joey Powell provided the assist.

M2 Temple University's offense was clicking better than usual and put 49 shots on goal during the game, better than the 0.3 shots per game it averages.

Others who scored for M2 Temple University included Brady ODonnell and Devon Thomas, who each put in one. More assists for M2 Temple University came via Matthew Krulikowski, who had one.

Daley's next tally made the score 4-4 with 6:53 left in the third period. A roughing penalty on Alex Kempinski had put M2 Rider University on the power play. Patrick Grilli picked up the assist. Conner Fox also scored for M2 Rider University. In addition, M2 Rider University received assists from Corey Hirsch, who had one.

M2 Temple University's Eric Semborski stopped 41 shots out of the 45 that he faced. M2 Temple University incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Nathan Kholodenko rejected 44 shots on goal for M2 Rider University. M2 Rider University totaled 35 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and went 1-for-2 on the power play.
