M3-Neumann University beats M3-Rowan University 6-5 after comeback scare

M3-Rowan University tried to dig itself out of a four-goal hole, but M3-Neumann University held on for a 6-5 victory.

M3-Neumann University made the score 6-2 on a goal by Brian Murphy at 12:44 in the third period, and M3-Rowan University got as close as 6-5 when Brandon Mead scored 18:18 into the third period.

Murphy had two goals and one assist to lead M3-Neumann University. Murphy scored the first of his two goals at 8:54 into the first period to make the score 2-0 M3-Neumann University. Cameron Beale assisted on the tally. Murphy's next tally made the score 6-2 M3-Neumann University with 7:16 left in the third period. M3-Neumann University was on a disadvantage when Beale went off the ice for slashing. Gregory Saklad picked up the assist.

M3-Neumann University racked up the penalties in the contest, and ended with 11 minors and one major for 27 minutes in penalty time.
