Loughran's hat trick boosts M1 Canisius College over M1 Saint Bonaventure University, 14-2

Chad Loughran netted a hat trick to lead the M1 Canisius College Golden Griffins over the M1 Saint Bonaventure University Bonnies, 14-2.

Loughran got on the scoresheet 5:09 into the first period. He then added goals at 13:11 into the first and at 14:13 into the third.

M1 Saint Bonaventure University's Alex Feyche could not handle what M1 Canisius College threw at him, as the Golden Griffins netted their goals off of 14.

M1 Canisius College surpassed its usual scoring output this season. The Golden Griffins have scored at the pace of 4.7 goals per game during the current campaign.

M1 Canisius College additionally got points from Austin Casselberry, who also had two goals and one assist, Jesse Caulkins, who also finished with two goals and three assists to lead the team in points, Jess Hackett, who also registered one goal and three assists, and Matthew Madden, who also tallied one goal and two assists. M1 Canisius College also had goals scored by Dimitrios Gogos, who had two and Patrick Hurtubise, Nathan Smith, and Daniel Stenzel, who each put in one. In addition, M1 Canisius College received assists from Mike Held, who had two, Connor Haseley, who had three, Andrew Ferrentino, who had four, and Stan Pawlow and Preston Mackert, who each chipped in one.

M1 Saint Bonaventure University was led by Tyler Gokey, who had two goals. Gokey scored the first of his two goals at 2:35 into the first period to make the score 1-0 M1 Saint Bonaventure University. Joe Colligan assisted on the tally. Gokey's next tally made the score 5-2 M1 Canisius College with 12:00 left in the second period. Colin Coppola picked up the assist. More assists for M1 Saint Bonaventure University came via Joe Piegay and Michael Mendola, who each chipped in one.

M1 Canisius College finished the contest with no penalties and went 1-for-0 with the man advantage. The Bonnies avoided the penalty box for the entire game and scored zero goals off of zero power plays.
