M1 Buffalo / University at wins tough contest against M1 Oswego State University, 3-2

In a game where neither team could get a cushion, the M1 Buffalo / University at Bulls escaped with a 3-2 victory over the M1 Oswego State University Lakers.

No lead was more than one goal during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Matthew Notaro at 19:15 of the second period.

M1 Buffalo / University at's penalty kill excelled, as the Bulls gave up zero goals despite allowing seven power plays.

In the losing effort, M1 Oswego State University was paced by Ben Paige, who finished with two goals. Paige scored the first of his two goals at 4:01 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Brendon Wormley assisted on the tally. Paige's next tally made the score 2-1 M1 Oswego State University with 10:03 left in the second period.

M1 Buffalo / University at stifled the Lakers' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Bulls' offense was clicking better than usual and put 38 shots on goal during the game, better than the 0.4 shots per game they average. M1 Buffalo / University at could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 16 minutes in penalties during the game.

M1 Buffalo / University at also had goals scored by Sean Dungan and Brenden Robinson, who each put in one. In addition, M1 Buffalo / University at received assists from Bobby Piotrowicz, who had two and Michael Schalberg, Chris Marsack, and Luke Swimline, who contributed one each.

Tyler Stark made 22 saves for the Bulls on 24 shots. M1 Buffalo / University at registered two goals on five power play opportunities. Dylan Niewiemski rejected 35 shots on goal for M1 Oswego State University. The Lakers incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
