Huge game by Williams boosts Brantford over Dundas, 6-3

Jamie Williams was all over the ice for the Brantford Blast, as he tallied one goal and two assists in Brantford's 6-3 win over the Dundas Real McCoys.

Williams scored 2:17 into the third period to make the score 4-2 Brantford. Cam Sault picked up the assist. Williams dished an assist on Brad Jones's goal that made the score 2-2 at 6:34 into the second period. He added another helper on Dustin Alcock's goal that made the score 5-2 Brantford at 2:26 into the third period.

The Blast forced Dundas goalie Mike Mole to work between the pipes, taking 45 shots.

Brantford additionally got points from Derek Medeiros, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Alcock, who also finished with one goal and one assist, and Jones, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Brantford also had goals scored by Andrew Marcoux and Mike Burgoyne, who each put in one. In addition, Brantford received assists from Kevin Christmas and Chris Leveille, who each chipped in one and Dave Russell and Jeff Caister, who contributed two each.

The Real McCoys were helped by Chris McGuffin, who registered one goal. McGuffin scored on the power play 4:13 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Dundas. Dundas had gotten the advantage when Brantford's Caister was sent off for slashing. Shawn Snider assisted on the tally. Dundas also got points from Brad Bonello, who also tallied one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Dundas also got a goal from Jake Guindon as well. Other players who recorded assists for Dundas were Kyle Kokotailo, Beni Berisha, and Brett Smith, who each chipped in one.

Anthony Marshall rejected 22 shots on goal for the Blast. Brantford incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. For the Blast, Ryan McCarthy was ejected from the game. Mole recorded 39 saves for the Real McCoys. Dundas incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors.
